Abstract of thesis
Acceptance of Small Scale Renewable Energy Systems
The promotion of decentralized electricity production will depend on the knowledge of purchase motives and barriers of the targeted population of German home owners. First, research will be focused on how these systems are being perceived in terms of advantages or disadvantages on different dimensions such as environmental, financial, social, autarchy and economic benefits. Based on the perception the effect of these dimensions on purchase intention will be abstracted. The aim will be to change the experience and/or the systems themselves in order to create a fit between the customers’ demands and the manufacturers products.
